Types of Used Mechanical Presses Available
Knuckle joint presses (400–2500 ton)
Barnaul, TMP Voronezh, Agostino Colombo and Kieserling & Albrecht machines for cold forging, coining and sizing. High bottom-dead-center force with controlled, slow slide approach — suited to automotive fasteners and bearing rings.
Hot forging presses (500–4000 ton)
Massey, SMS Eumuco, Lasco and TMP Voronezh eccentric-drive presses for open-die and closed-die hot forging. Common in automotive and general engineering production.
Trimming presses (160–1600 ton)
Smeral, TMP Voronezh and Lasco machines for flash removal on forging lines; often stored at the same site as the matching forging press.
Screw and eccentric presses (160–1600 ton)
Stanko friction screw presses, Schuler eccentric presses. Suitable for forming, coining and blanking in short to medium production runs.
Why Source from Poland
Poland holds the largest inventory of Soviet-era and CMEA heavy mechanical presses in Central Europe. Former state forging plants operated these machines for decades; many have low cycle counts relative to their age due to reduced production after 1990. EU location ensures no intra-EU import duties and EUR invoicing for European buyers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Knuckle joint presses use a toggle mechanism to amplify force at bottom dead center — used for cold forging, coining and sizing where precision and sustained pressure matter. Hot forging presses use an eccentric or crank drive for high-speed impact forming at elevated temperatures.
Current machines across all subtypes are listed in the grid above. Contact us with your specific press type, tonnage and application and we will advise on availability.
Original Russian-language operation manuals and electrical diagrams are typically available. We can arrange technical translation when source documentation allows it. CE assessment for installation is the buyer's responsibility, together with a qualified safety consultant.
Yes. TRIGA coordinates craning, disassembly to transport dimensions, flatbed or low-loader loading, oversized load permits and export documentation end-to-end.
In many cases yes — forging press, trimming press and handling equipment are often stored at the same site. Contact us with your production requirements and we will advise on available combinations.
