The Agostino Colombo G1600 is a 1600-ton knuckle joint (toggle) coining press. The knuckle joint drive delivers peak force near bottom dead centre, suited to coining, sizing (calibration), fine blanking and precision stamping of steel components requiring tight dimensional tolerances.
With a 135 mm stroke and 635 mm shut height, the G1600 accommodates typical coining and calibration die sets for medium-to-large formed parts. The 1060 × 900 mm table handles large coining tooling, and the 20 mm ram adjustment allows fine shut height control.

For heavy forging and hydraulic presses, logistics is as important as the machine itself. We treat this as a separate, carefully planned project.
Together with our partners we manage dismantling on site, industrial packaging, loading into trucks or containers and international transport. This reduces the risk of damage and delays, especially when the buyer cannot be present in person.

Both terms describe the same drive mechanism. "Toggle press" is the common US term for a knuckle-joint press, which is why the G1600 suits coining and sizing work.
The 1600-ton G1600 is available for inspection at its European location. Its knuckle mechanism, guides and 20 mm ram adjustment can be included in a detailed condition report.
On-site inspection can be arranged, with extra photographs or a remote video session available beforehand. Powered testing depends on the installation status at the site.
The die footprint must also be checked against the 635 mm shut height, 135 mm stroke and 400 mm side opening. Tool drawings can be reviewed as part of the technical evaluation.
The machine file will be checked for operating instructions, electrical diagrams, lubrication schedules and mechanical drawings. A document register can be supplied before contract.
Any warranty depends on the agreed sale and reconditioning scope and must be stated in the written offer. Otherwise, the machine is sold in the inspected used condition.
Removal, loading, export packing, transport and customs coordination can be included. The schedule and price are set after site access and destination details are known.
