About this machine

Machine Description

The Barnaul K8340 is a 1000-ton knuckle-joint (toggle) mechanical press for cold forging, coining, sizing (calibration), embossing and stamping. The knuckle-joint drive delivers peak force near bottom dead centre, giving dimensional accuracy and stroke-to-stroke repeatability on steel components that require tight tolerances.

At 170 mm stroke with two-speed operation (18 / 32 spm), the K8340 suits production where high force and controlled slide velocity are both required. The two-speed drive lets operators choose slower strokes for sensitive tooling or faster cycles for higher-volume runs.

The press has both bottom and top ejectors: bottom 100 mm stroke and 320 kN force, top 15 mm stroke and 100 kN force. The 16 mm shut height adjustment accommodates different die sets.

Typical parts include crankshafts, connecting rods, flanges, gears and hubs for automotive, railway and engineering production. See TRIGA's full range of coining presses for alternatives, or read our knuckle joint vs eccentric press guide for the technical comparison.

The machine is located in Europe and available for inspection. TRIGA can provide full technical documentation, on-site technical assessment, dismantling, export packing, transport securing and international delivery logistics — contact us for details.

Dismantling

Dismantling, packaging & logistics

For heavy forging and hydraulic presses, logistics is as important as the machine itself. We treat this as a separate, carefully planned project.

Together with our partners we manage dismantling on site, industrial packaging, loading into trucks or containers and international transport. This reduces the risk of damage and delays, especially when the buyer cannot be present in person.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Both terms describe the same drive mechanism. "Toggle press" is the common US term for a knuckle-joint press, which is why the K8340 suits coining and sizing work.

Serial #434 is a hot listing and is available for inspection in Europe. Its mechanical condition and operational functions can be assessed before an offer is finalized.

A functional test can be requested during the site inspection, subject to power and safety conditions. The inspection scope should also cover the 170 mm stroke and 16 mm shut-height adjustment.

The documentation package can be checked for drawings and settings for the 320 kN lower ejector and 100 kN upper ejector. Available manuals and maintenance records are listed before sale.

A removal plan can include disconnection, dismantling, crane work, export packing and transport securing. Final methods depend on site access and the selected carrier.

Warranty terms for used equipment are defined in the written quotation and depend on the agreed inspection and reconditioning scope. No warranty applies unless it is expressly included in the contract.

The dispatch date is set after inspection, payment and removal access are agreed. Heavy-haul permits and crane availability may affect the final schedule.
